Laptops in the Classroom

This past school year our class was fortunate and was awarded 5 Chromebooks through Donors Choose. This donation brought our classroom laptop total to 10. This school year I will write an additional grant for 5 more Chromebooks. These laptops are used throughout our day by all students in the classroom. To have immediate access to laptops in the class compared to signing up for the school laptop cart completely changed how I instructed and how the students learned. It promoted a new sense of of independence, curiosity, and excitement that I have never seen prior in my 15 years of teaching.

If awarded 5 more laptops this year I will dedicate 2 laptops to the Cluster groups and 3 to our new classroom makerspace.
