The Oak Tree Garden is a unique space that is cared for by a group of teachers and students. Our garden features edible herbs, vegetables, fruits, and a variety of flowers. We have native fruit trees and grape vines as well.

Our first garden club was the Green Thumbs and they participated in every aspect of what made our garden a success. All students in 3rd grade had the opportunity to join the Green Thumbs.

In 2019 we will create a new initiative called the Oak Tree Gnomies that will open the the club to all grades.

The garden is used across grade levels for a variety of lessons. The Oak Tree/Applegarth PTA generously provides funds annually for the upkeep of the garden. Local businesses like Lark Nursery and Farmer Al's help provide needed donations. Teachers, students, and parents are encouraged to harvest over the summer months as well as weed and water.
